Pouring a Broom-Finish Driveway in Statesboro

May 12, 2026

Residential Driveway in Statesboro, GA

This Statesboro homeowner had lived with a cracked, patched concrete driveway for years. Georgia summers and heavy trucks had finished it off. The call came in on a Monday and we were on site by Wednesday.

We tore out the old concrete, re-graded for positive drainage away from the garage, and set forms with a slight crown so water sheets off. Compacted GAB base went down next — this is the step people skip that ruins driveways five years later.

The pour was a standard 3,500 PSI mix with fiber reinforcement. We broom-finished for grip in wet weather and cut control joints on a 10-foot grid to keep future cracking predictable and clean. Sealed after 28 days.

Total footprint was around 900 square feet. If you're in the Statesboro area and your driveway is past the patch-and-pray stage, give us a call.
